Leak Detection
PAnORaMA being a realistic simulator, it can be used as a Leak Detection System. A very sound methodology has been created for use of PAnORaMA as a real time Leak Detection System (LDS). In fact, PAnORaMA was developed primarily to serve as a backbone of the Leak Detection System. Other applications as above are possible because it is such a powerful simulation tool.
The LDS uses a rigorous real time transient simulator of the actual network, concepts from artificial intelligence and pattern recognition to ensure that spurious leakage alarms are minimized. It is a whole new concept unlike simplified leak detection philosophies based on volume balancing etc.
